    Who am I?

I'm a writer, parent, and strategist that helps people digest the horrors and hopes of our world and find our footing in it.

I'm the co-author of Should I Stay or Should I Go? A step-by-step workbook to help you decide if leaving the US is right for you.

Before this, I created and hoested two former podcast projects: Grover Reads the News and Masculine Birth Ritual. I spent years researching & working in narrative strategy & communications at US-based organizations working for housing, racial, and economic justice.

I help organizations iterate new creative projects, run a small press, and launch new products through my family owned business and creative studio, Strategic Creations.

    What is it?

    • You've Got Mail is a message-in-a-bottle newsletter about change. How it feels, how we navigate it, how we work with others to shape our world, and how we make strategic decisions inside it. Here I share decision-making tools, reflection essays, book recommendations, announcements, and stories to illuminate the threads between systems, change, and the lives we live inside it all.

    • I tend to start where I am, because it feels like the most honest way forward. So that means while I write about change, I'm writing about Multiple Sclerosis, being a transmasculine Butch in a binary world, emigration to the Netherlands, books, nature, parenting, or community infrastructure.
